'For my good it was for me that I was afflicted, to learn Your Statutes.' - Psalm 119 vs 71 {KJV}

'It was good that I had to suffer in order to learn your laws.' - Psalm 119 vs 71 {GW}

'It is good for me to have been through trouble; so that I might come to the knowledge of your rules.' - Psalm 119 vs 71 {BBE}

'My troubles turned out all for the best - they forced me to learn from your textbook.' - Psalm 119 vs 71 {MSG}

Obviously, David had an excellent interpretation of the difficult situations that befell him; he acknowledged that they were good for him in order to bring him to the knowledge of the ways of God. This is remarkable!

Beloved, how are you interpreting the situations of your life? Do you know that how you interpret what you are going through will determine how easy you will go through it, or how hard you will go through it? Yea. David understood that all things worked together for his good, and that is the same teaching we have been giving in the New Testament:

'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.' - Romans 8 vs 28 {KJV}

  • all things work together for good

Just like David, you must begin to recognize that the situations of your life no matter how hard or difficult they are, they are working together for your good; in the end, it would all be to your advantage. You must begin to see situations like this! Reading situations differently! Some other person might go through it and become frustrated and give up, but you, go through it with an understanding! Hallelujah! Go through it knowing that in the end it would be to your manifold advantage. Glory to God! You see, when you see situations this way, you will always have peace in the storm! Yes it's a tough situation, but there will be this strength, this courage deep inside, this resilience, this ever abounding hope on your inside that enables you go again another day! And again another day! Till the day when God visits you with your testimony. Hallelujah!

Be strong my friend! See situations just like David—they are for your good! they are for your advantage! Yes.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
