HURTFUL REMINISCENCE VS. ACCEPTANCE OF FACTS & HAPPENINGS

'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' - Psalms 34 vs 18

Greetings to you dearly beloved of God in Christ Jesus. I trust God that the words you are about to now read will lift you up and help you. Amen.

Many Christians are stuck over a situation that has happened in their lives, they go over the happening in their minds continually, and that keeps them drained, pained, depressed, sad, and stuck in a place not knowing what to do or how to come out of it, and the process of them going over the happening in their minds just keeps taking place, and they are perpetually in pain. But beloved, when things happen to you in your life, whether it be a mistake you have made, or a sad thing that has happened to you, learn to accept that it has happened, accept and acknowledge that yes this thing has happened. When you do that, it saves you the rigor of reminiscing (going over) the happening in your mind, hence, you are free from the stress, you are free from the wishes that it never happened, and you are free from the sadness of the situation. - Selah

On this regard, there's something to learn from David. Let's take a look at it;

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.' - Psalms 51 vs 50 {KJV}

The above statement are David's words. In his lamentation to God for an error he committed at that time, he thus said. He never for once argued or struggled with the events and happenings of his life, David owned up, David admitted them, David always accepted the position of things; David's heart was that sincere.

David never struggled with his errors, David never argued at the sound of rebuke, he owned up to his sins, and in sincerity looked to God for help. Little wonder he was greatly helped by God and he enjoyed so much mercy which was not the pattern of the Old Testament. Simply because, he was a man whose heart sincerely acknowledged and owned up to the situation of things. - Think about it

Dearly beloved, accept that that thing has happened, accept that you have made the mistake, accept it knowing that God is able to deliver you from the situation (whatever it is), and give you peace. Amen. Let's take a look at our opening Bible passage;

'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' - Psalms 34 vs 18 {KJV}

The word 'broken' used here is translated from the Hebrew word 'shabar', and it means 'torn, break down, break in pieces, crush, quench'. So this Bible verse is telling us that God is near to them whose hearts are crushed, broken in pieces, them whose hearts hurt and are quenched. Uhmmm. Then the verse goes ahead to say that God saves those who are of a contrite spirit. The word 'contrite' as used in the passage is translated from the Hebrew word 'dakka', and it means 'crushed - as of when something is crushed to powder'. Waowww. Is this where you are right now in your life? Is this the state of your heart right now in your life? What a hope you've got in the WORD. It says that God saves such whose hearts have been crushed to powder. - Think about it

So dearly beloved, having these blessed hope in the WORD, quickly accept that you have done wrong, quickly accept that you have made the mistake, don't argue with it, don't struggle with it, quickly accept that that sad happening has happened, as you accept that these things have happened, do so depending on God to deliver you from your bruise. Note this, accepting that the deed has happened saves you from hurtful reminiscing, going over the happening in your mind with an impossible intention to undo what has been obviously done, those reminiscing that keeps you at a point of trying to change what has already happened, you find yourself thinking over the deed, some persons through thoughts try to make sense of what has happened so that they could be free from the sadness, but that's an effort to no avail; they try to talk themselves out of the situation as though what has happened never happened, and that's impossible when the deed has been done; hence, that person continues to swim in pain and hurtful reminiscing on the deed, trying to change what only God can deliver him from. - Selah

But beloved, the moment you understand that there's no need to argue or struggle with what has been done, but rather accept it, and look up to God for help, your heart is rightly positioned and comes into the place where God's grace can reach it through the Word of God which the Holy Spirit inspires in our hearts, and by those words, we are Lifted and made free, all by the power of God. Hallelujah!

Now, this sad happening in your life may not be sin, it may be some other occurrence that happened that you struggle with in your mind; accept them all the same, they have happened means they have happened. - Think about it

Remember,

'...all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.' - Romans 8 vs 28 {KJV}

All things!

When God has healed you, then your eyes will clearly see how it worked for your good altogether.

God's grace is with your spirit.

PRAY FOR YOUR ENEMIES

'But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you...' - Matthew 5 vs 44 pray for them which despitefully use you 'Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.' - Luke 6 vs 28 {KJV} pray for them which despitefully use you The Spirit of God said to me, "When you pray for your enemies —those who have wronged you, those who have offended you, those who have caused you pain , that's the easiest way to release them in your heart and truly forgive them."  Waow! There are people who have the thought to forgive someone who have wronged them, they truly want to forgive, but they don't know how to just make it happen! Maybe that is you reading this article right now; what you have to do is follow the counsel of the Holy Spirit which I pointed out above, start praying for that person! As you pray sincerely for that person, th...

IN THE LAST DAYS THERE WILL BE NO REVIVAL

There has been a preaching in churches globally that revival is coming —and what the preachers mean by that is that a time is coming when there will be an outburst of zealousness for God in Believers, whereby massively all over the world the churches will burn with righteousness and begin to walk in the will and fear of the Lord. Waow! Well, this passes for a good wish. Now, let's get into the Word and begin to see what the Bible says on this subject, whether such revival will indeed happen to Believers or will not —l et's see. 'And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.' - Matthew 24 vs 12 {KJV} the love of many shall wax cold Be mindful of the fact that in this chapter of the book Matthew, the Lord Jesus was speaking concerning the things that will be in the last days. Here, He clearly states that the love of many shall wax cold—and He tells the reason, He says "because iniquity shall abound". 'This know also, that in the last da...

WE WILL BE IMMORTAL

'Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?' - 1 Corinthians 15 vs 50 - 55 {King James Version} Pay attention to the words in verse 50 : flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God This means that a man cannot enter into Heaven with this mortal body which we have on presently. That already reveals to us that our bo...
